You may be interested in finding out more about Bucket-Line Gold Dredges, by building one from scrap metal.

Here in Mongolia bucket-line dredges are not museum pieces but are still being built, several a year. And not only a fleet of gold dredges made from scrap 'on-the-spot', but also launching BIG NEW bucket-line dredges to designs that are at least 30 years old and hark back a century.
