Email; rustbelt59@yahoo.com Thanks, Rich B, Syracuse,NYHo Richbach - what is the geographical spread of your colour picture book? Does it include Mongolia as we have a large library of pics of such equipment in action - ESH walking draglines (built in Ukraine);giant IZTM bucket-line gold dredges (built in Siberia), small artisanal bucket-line gold dredges; dozers, low loaders and excavators (Russian, CT, Liebherr, Komatu, China etc); scrapers (Belaz of Belarus); gold wash plants (Russian, Mongolian, Dutch, Chinese etc). There is a gold rush on here with 135 placer companies producing 11 tons a year.

We are interested in swapping colour pics with copyright as we short of some for our publication on CD - 'Best Available Techniques for Placer Gold Miners' - particularly crawler draglines, scrapers, kickers, derockers etc.

Any comments/ideas welcome.

There are several placer gold mines in the Yukon that use crawler draglines for a range of duties, including dragging out their settling ponds of silt and mud. If interested I can send you the names of some of these mines.

You may also know that Leibherr still produce a walking dragline designed to drag underwater to considerable depths.

Hope this helps - Steppegold

P.S. If you have any pics of crawler draglines I can use in forthcoming publication with full credits to you, that would be appreciated. We have many dragline pics already but all of WALKING draglines (soviet ESH).

Doing well. I am still trying to get info or drawings on highline method. My insley is running fantastic. I did a little digging this fall but may have more time next summer. Keep in touch. Thanks
