Hello folks, Carl B. from da U.P. here. My Cletrac DGH has B/W air assisted steering, and I'm having a small problem with one of the valves. It is bypassing the air internally, and slowly applies the brake to that side. Usually a quick working of the brake will return it to normal, but I'd like to solve the problem if I can. I've had the valve off and apart, even took it to a mach. shop- mounting ears were broken off, they fixed that, But the fellow said he'd never seen a valve like it before. And of course that is also what they said at the truck garage. They even had a large chart with pics of all kinds of brake valves, but none the same. When I had it apart I put new O rings in it, but I think I may have to take it apart again and perhaps try honing the bore with a wheel cyl. hone. My question for you crane and shovel guys, is it possible that these valves might be the same as the ones used on those machines that were equipped with air controls? and where might I find some info on them? If they are, I'm thinking that might be a good place to start looking for a possible replacement if necessary. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks, Carl.
