Has anyone seen the movie the Bucket List? Its about the thing you would like to do before you die. I think every old equipment enthusiasts should see a working steam shovel. The first time I saw one was at the 1999 HCEA National Convention in conjunction with the National Pike Steam,Gas & Horse Association Show in Brownsville, Pa. It was a very good Convention. I went to the 2007 National Pike Steam, Gas & Horse Association and was treated very well. They Have two working shovels something that you can't find anymore. There's a lot of other equipment and I am hope this will be the best Convention ever! I have a 400 mile!s to get there. It takes about 8 Hr's with my pickup camper. If you have not been thre you are really missing a part of history. If you see a guy with a orange shirt with HOPTO on the back say Hi.
I have no way of bringing my Hopto backhoe. but will bring my hopto books and lit.
