I heard a weather report on the radio this morning (approx. 0700 PST).
I thought it said a tornado touched down in Bowling Green.
Is the museum still standing?

I wasn't aware of any bad weather but if something had happened to the buildings, I probably would have been notified. Since I have heard nothing I assume everything is still standing. This is one of the joys of living in tornado country. Thanks for your concern.

Thanks for your concern, but there were no tornadoes anywhere near here. There were some in southern Kentucky and points south Friday and Virginia Saturday. All we had was strong wind. There was a report of damaging wind Friday, probably a downburst, just east of Toledo and another incident a long ways southwest of here. See http://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/reports/080411_rpts.html for details.

That's great. I was hoping that I heard it wrong. I use the radio option for my alarm clock and remember hearing "...tornado...Bowling Green...".
Thanks for the clearification.

Actually, the Weather Service has determined that the wind damage east of Toledo was indeed a tornado. Being that it was after dark, they had to analyze the damage pattern, and that takes a while. But it was still about 25 miles from here.
