Anybody have details about how many cable excavators might be expected at the upcoming HCEA show in CT next weekend? Wondering if we'll see a good turnout of B-E, Northwest and other examples of front and pull-shovel configurations?

I'm hoping to get some good footage of these old cable rigs operating, assuming good weather and a good selection of machines, as well as a good set of still pics for my collection.

Hope some of the nice B-E 10 and 15 units which are pictured in the HCEA archives will show up.

Love to meet some of the owners, and chat with them about their units. :7)

That's one of the fun things about our shows - we never know what's going to turn up. There is an operating Northwest 80D shovel on site; it's the feature machine for the show. There are at least ten other shovels on site at this time.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like the show will be a 'shovel rich' environment for us fans of cable excavators. :7)

I'll leave an offering for the weather gods to provide us with a sunny and temperate weekend so that all the old iron can operate and have fun in the dirt.

We'll be able to get in Friday afternoon for a quick scan of equipment as I understand it, correct?

Hi there, I have several pictures of my C-350 Bantam cable backhoe. Some of them are in operation and some are being loaded on a trailer etc. I could share these with anyone. Thanks. richgrable@yahoo.com
