I have a box of old manuals and parts books that I would like to get to a good home. My father, who passed away a couple of years ago collected this stuff because his father (my grandfather) had a couple of shovels for his excavating business--the last one was a Lorain 85A. I am keeping the materials relating to the equipment that was once part of my family, but am offering the rest. A list of the stuff:

Thew Lorain Handbook No. 49289 (1941)
Thew Lorain Operation Manual No. 61494A (1948)
Lorain 50 Spec Sheet
Lorain 72 Spec Sheet
Lorain MC-425w Spec Sheet
Lorain MC-425 Spec Sheet
Lorain SP-424 Spec Sheet
Lorain MC-424 Spec Sheet
Lorain MC-424w Spec Sheet
Lorain 26 Spec Sheet
Lorain 82 Mechanical Drawings
Thew Lorain Operation Manual Class 45 (1955) x5
Thew Lorain Operation Manual 50 Series (1951) x2
Thew Lorain Operation Manual No. 20666T TL Series (1952)
Thew Lorain parts Catalog Model No. MC-530W (undated)
Lorain MC 550 Brochure (undated)
Lorain Moto-Loader ML-309 Spec Sheet
Thew Lorain Operation and Service Manual No. 91000 (1945)
45 Ton Lorain Moto Cranes Model MC-824 brochure
Thew Lorain Operation Manual, Class 12 (undated)
Misc Inserts to service manual
Thew Lorain Parts Kit Sales Book and misc unbound inserts (misc dates 1959-64)

All in pretty good condition, considering use and age. Ebay sellers seem to list this type of ephemera for $10-$50 each, but I'm entertaining offers for all or part, don't forget to include shipping. Will also consider trade for ephemera on the Lorain 85 series shovels.

I can take and email photos if you'd like.

If no takers, then I will donate to the HCEA archives for all to enjoy.

Please be patient if it takes me a few days to respond.

Jeff, We used to email back and forth with your father, meet him at least once at the National Pike Show at Brownsville, Pa. at which we display and operate our several shovels including an 820 Lorain. You can call me at 724 678 9071. Lou

Jeff, we'd certainly be interested in them if you still have them available. Ask your tax accountant if you can take the eBay selling price as the valuation for donation purposes.
