Osgood

I was searching for Osgood excavators on the Internet and found some very nice and interesting pics from Lakeside Sand & Gravel Open House, Mantua, OH - 2005.
An Osgood excavator was my grand fathers first excavator and the one my father learned to operate excavators in.
Hopefully I will be able to obtain an Osgood I have found this summer.
It is not much to be found on the net regarding Osgood. Therefore I would like to ask for information about the company Osgood and their excavators. Everything from the history to manuals is of great interest.

The Public Works Dept here in NZ purchased 3 Osgood 2.5cu yd shovels in 1949 they were powered by Cat D17000's One servives which I plan to visit in the near future. Any info on this model would be appreciated

We have two pieces of Osgood equipment on our show grounds . A small drag line I would guess from the 1940's and a steam shovel. Both in need of repair.
