What to look for in an older D4?

Have just come across a D4 SN 7U17293. Can someone tell me what year and approx. value? It shows 3500+/- hrs and has always been shedded. Everything seems to work great, undercariage is excelent. What weaknesses, if any, did these little machines have?

Hi there, I owned a D-4. Just don't try to turn when backing up a steep incline. You will back right out of your tracks. It doesn't matter how good the rails, sprockets and rollers are. Hope this helps you! :(
