Does anyone know where there are any heavy equipment bone yards or salvage yards where you can go in and pull your own part (just like Pick N Pull for cars). Anyone know any yards in or near Ohio?

As no one has come forward with any ideas I will try. I doubt you will find such an establishment for two reasons. The first being liability, most heavy equipment salvage yards realize that most customers coming in will not have the appropriate equipment for dealing with the size and weight of the parts and components and would be subject to possible injury or worse. The second is an unfortunate fact that many people don't care how they remove a part and how much damage they may do to other attached parts or surrounding ones, and then bring the part back because it didn't solve the problem. Why would you want to spend the effort and time when you could pick it up at the counter and inspect it before paying ?
